The US updated its 50% tariff list on Canadian goods

The Section 338 list that started August 22 changed on September 15. A CUSMA certificate does not remove this tariff.

Since August 22, 2026, a list of Canadian products faces a 50% US tariff under Section 338. On September 15 the list changed, adding product groups such as cheese and dairy, hides and leather, fur, paper, some metal products, golf carts and furniture.

The important detail for online sellers: a CUSMA certificate does not exempt goods on this list. For goods that are not on the list, a valid CUSMA claim still avoids the separate 10% tariff.

Check each product you ship south. Othermile flags items on a special list and holds those orders for you by default.
